Krishnaiah demands federation for Bhatrajus
Guntur: BC Welfare Association National President R Krishnaiah demanded that the government set up a federation for Bhatrajus immediately and warned that if the government fails to establish the federation for Bhatrajus within a week, they will intensify their agitation.
Addressing a meeting of Bhatrajus from 13 districts, who were staging a protest for the federation at the Collectorate here on Thursday, he urged the government to constitute a federation and allot Rs 50 crore immediately. He demanded that the government grant loans to Bhatrajus with 80 per cent subsidy and criticised that the government is treating the Bhatrajus as a vote bank and neglecting them after elections.
He urged the parties to give some seats to Bhatrajus in the ensuing general elections and construct a building for Bhatrajus in the state capital Amaravati. He said that he will meet Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to discuss on problems of BCs. State Bhatraju Sangam state president Perlapati Sri Rama Raju, Mahila wing president Chandrakala were present.
