New Chittoor DMHO takes charge

Chittoor: Dr Ramagiddaiah has taken charge as District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) here on Wednesday. He took charge from his predecessor Dr Vijay Gowri, who was transferred to Vijayawada. Ramagiddaiah, who was a medical graduate from Kurnool Medical College, joined in the medical and health service as medical officer at Tekur PHC in Kadapa and worked in various places.

He was working as Deputy Civil Surgeon in the community health centre, Nandikotkur, Kurnool district before promoted and posted as Chittoor district DMHO. He won best medical officer award when he was working in Atmakur PHC as a medical officer. After taking charge as DMHO, Ramagiddaiah said he would strive for enhancing the medical and health services more so in rural areas.
