Plea to bring fuel price under GST says BC JAC State president Buddha Nageswara Rao in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: The continuous rise of petrol and diesel prices and arbitrary attitude of Central and State governments to control the price was affecting the lives of common man and middle class people, said BC JAC State president Buddha Nageswara Rao.
Addressing the media at the BC JAC office here on Wednesday, Nageswara Rao said that earlier when there was petrol and diesel price hike, the government used to inform about the international crude oil.
When there was a revolt by opposition parties and civil society organisations, the government had reduced the price a bit.
At present, the fuel prices were being increased daily adding an additional burden of Rs 3,000 to 4,000 on the common man.
This was due to more taxes levied by the state government on fuel price when compared to other states.
He demanded that the Central and State governments bring petrol and diesel price under Goods and Service Tax (GST) to control the abnormal rise of fuel prices.
BC JAC leaders B Shekar Babu, Kondal Rao, Rahul, and others were present.
