AP staff to get Dearness Allowance in 3 installments

 Amaravati: The AP Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has approved payment of Dearness Allowance to the state employees in three instalments. 

The cabinet here on Thursday decided that of the three instalments the first would be paid soon which places a burden of Rs 627 crore on the state exchequer, an official press release said.

The cabinet, by another decision, cleared a proposal to allow tribals to get housing under the state government's NTR Housing Scheme. 

The scheme is applicable to those whose houses sanctioned prior to 2006 as a majority of them have suffered damage over a period of time. 

The state government has found that there were 1.10 lakh such houses in all the 13 districts in the state.
   
By another decision, the cabinet approved a proposal to convert International Institute of Technology in Tirupati into an autonomous and self-sustainable institute.

The cabinet allocated land to various companies for industrial development including Apollo Tyres in Chittoor district and others. 

The cabinet extended time for the Patanjali group to take delivery of Red Sanders from government godowns. Though they purchased the Red Sanders, they did not take them, yet.
