Rajamahendravaram: Former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar has said that he is ready to the challenge posed by AP State Planning Commission vice-chairman C Kutumba Rao relating to 10.36 per cent interest on Amaravati Bonds along with two books published on former chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to reporters at Press Club here on Thursday, he said people are not showing interest on public debates and they are also not believing the leaders in this regard. Arun Kumar said that he was ready to go to the house of Kutumba Rao if he spares four-hour time on any holiday.

There is no objection if Kutumba Rao comes to Rajamahendravaram and the discussions will be held at the house of marketing committee chairman Ch Rama Rao, he said. He said discussions will be held using cell phones and cameras and necessary documentary evidence will also be available on the subjects.

“Since many years I mastered in translation, but I don’t have enough knowledge on trading when compared with Kutumba Rao.  I am not concerned with the book published on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu by YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy,” he told. “I accepted the challenge on the allegations against former chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as he is not a corrupt man.

There are no clear allegations against YSR in the book published on him as per the information obtained from Registrar of Companies,” he averred. Kutumba Rao should answer why the state government should pay an interest of Rs 10.36 per cent for Amaravati Bonds. The properties of YSR were reduced as per his affidavits filed in 2004-2009 Assembly elections.
