Kanipakam Brahmotsavams from September 13

Chittoor: The 21-day Brahmotsavams of the Lord Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy temple at Kanipakam would commence from September 13, said Joint Collector P S Girisha and stated more than 1 lakh devotees are expected to take part in the ensuing Brahmotsavams.

The Joint Collector participated in a coordination committee meeting of the Brahmotsavams held in Kanipakam on Thursday. Addressing the members of the committee, he directed them to make elaborate arrangements for the ensuing Brahmotsavams. He said around 85,000 devotees have participated in the last year’s annual event.

The number is expected to touch 1.1 lakh this year, he stated. He instructed the police officials to deploy additional security personnel to avoid untoward incidents and asked RTC officials to operate more services from far off places to Kanipakam.

The Joint Collector mentioned the Municipal Corporation of Chittoor would deploy 50 sanitary personnel for keeping the temple premises clean. Kanipakam temple Executive Officer P Purnachandra Rao, DSP Subba Rao, temple Trust Board members, people’s representatives and officials of the Endowments department were present.
