MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu raises problems with roads in House
Eluru: The state government has promised Narsapuram MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu to construct R and B department roads, which are in bad state.
When the MLA raised the issue in question hour during the ongoing Assembly monsoon session on Thursday, R&B Minister Ch Ayyanna Patrudu responded positively.
Speaking in the Assembly on the first day, the MLA informed that they had constructed internal cement roads in all villages with the cooperation of Minister Lokesh.
However, the R&B roads that lead to villages were continuing in ruined state causing much inconvenience to the people.
The MLA reminded that he had brought the bad condition of roads to the notice of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu earlier.
Though the CM sanctioned funds immediately, the department of finance was delaying funds release, he lamented.
The MLA reminded the Chair that he had raised the issue even during winter session of the Assembly in November 2017.
At that time, the concerned minister informed the House that six roads had been sanctioned at an estimated cost of Rs 37 crore.
The minister had conceded that the condition of roads was worse in the constituency.
The minister further said that the government had understood the intensity of the problem.
The MLA explained that in spite of the earlier assurances, no funds were released so far.
