AP govt. reduces petrol, diesel price by Rs 2

In a major development, the Andhra Pradesh government has reduced the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 in the state on Monday. And the new prices will be effective from Tuesday. The State chief minister has issued the orders regarding the price revival around 3.30 pm today.

The nationwide protest held today across the country over the rise in fuel prices has brought a mild relief to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

On Sunday, the Rajasthan government has announced 4 per cent VAT deduction on the fuel prices and it came into effect from midnight. The price of Petrol and diesel in the state has come down by Rs 2.5 per litre.

Rajasthan government charges 30 per cent VAT on petrol and 22 on diesel. But now, after a decrease of four per cent, the VAT on petrol is reduced to 26 per cent and 22 per cent on diesel
