Lorry owners thank Chandrababu Naidu for reducing tax on fuel
Amaravati: Members of AP Lorry Owners Association thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for reducing Rs 2 tax on the petrol and diesel on Monday.
Association general secretary Y V Eswara Rao and others along with Vijayawada TDP MP Kesineni Nani met the Chief Minister at his residence at Undavalli and said that the reduction of tax will boost the transportation sector.
Eswara Rao said that Chandrababu Naidu will remain the first Chief Minister in India who reduced the tax on petrol and diesel. He said that this will greatly benefit the lorry owners.
He regretted that the Central government which should take the responsibility of reducing the burden on common man, was not taking any decision on the petrol and diesel prices. He feared that this would leader to steep hike in prices of essential commodities in the country.
