Ashok demands RuBs, FoBs for Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: The Waltair Division of East Coast Railway convened the divisional committee meeting here on Wednesday. The divisional committee comprising MPs, including the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, in the jurisdiction of Waltair Division.

Dr K Haribabu, MP, Visakhapatnam and Chairman of the Divisional Committee chaired the meeting. The other MPs, including Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Nekkanti Bhaskara Rao MP from Odisha, K Ramamohan Naidu, Dinesh Kasyap, MP, Bastar, Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, Jina Hikaka, MP, Koraput, General Manager of East Coast Railway Umesh Singh, DRM of Waltair Divsion Mukul Saran Mathur, heads of various Departments of East Coast Railway and branch officers were present. 

On the occasion, Umesh Singh spoke about the performance of the zone and various development activities that are being carried out and are in progress in the East Coast Railway. Later, DRM Mukul Saran Mathur briefed about the division’s performance and achievements. 

MP Ashok Gajapathi Raju raised certain issues like construction of Road-under-Bridges, additional Foot-over-Bridges in Vizianagaram and Chipurupalli, an extension of Godavari, Garibrath, Tirumala and Visakhapatnam-LTT Express trains to Vizianagaram, illumination at Batua Station. 

K Ramamohan Naidu demanded an express or passenger train from Srikakulam Road to other areas, an extension of additional FoB on Srikakulam Road, raising platform heights in Pathapatnam, Tekkali Stations in Naupada-Gunupur line, halt for Visakhapatnam-Gunupur passenger at Dandugopalapuram.
