Ongole: TDP Prakasam district president and Ongole MLA Damacharla Janardhana Rao and his party leaders and workers staged a protest raising slogans against the Central government and formed a human chain at Church Center here on Friday, demanding that the Centre withdraw arrest warrant against Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders and case from the Maharashtra court.

Janardhana Rao said that the Maharashtra government constructed the Babli project by making false statements that it halted it, eight years ago.

But the TDP president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu went to protest against its construction and to protect the interests of the Telangana people.

He said that the Maharashtra booked illegal cases on the man who spoke for the Telangana people and now the BJP government at the Center was using it as a tool to arrest the person who was working for the Telugu people.

He alleged that the Central government forced the Maharashtra government to revive the case and issue arrest notices through the court.
