PM Modi behind conspiracy: TDP
Kurnool: Somisetty Venkates-warlu, Chairman of the Kurnool Urban Development Authority (KUDA) and Kurnool MLA SV Mohan Reddy have condemned the issuing of Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Addressing a press meet at party office here on Saturday, Somisetty termed the NBW to Chandrababu as a conspiracy hatched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He stated, never in the history of India, an NBW was served without issuing summons. The KUDA chief said the Prime Minister trying to threaten to Naidu by issuing NBW to him.
As a leader of the opposition, Chandrababu had opposed the increasing the height of Babli Project by the Maharashtra government, he said, adding Sriram Sagar Project in Telangana would not receive rightful share of water if the height was increased.
Somisetty mentioned the move by the Maha government would affect the drinking and irrigation water needs of Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Nalgonda districts in the united Andhra Pradesh.
To protect the interests of Telangana farmers and people, Naidu accompanied by former Ministers, MLAs, MPs and MLCs have visited the Babli Project in 2010, Somisetty said, explaining Maharashtra cops took Chandrababu and other leaders into custody and released after five days.
Even, the government had arranged a special flight to the TDP leaders including Naidu to drop them at Hyderabad, the KUDA chief said. He asked the motive behind serving the NBW to CM after 8 years.
