Young techies told to aim at low-cost buildings in Bhimavaram

Bhimavaram: Young engineers should construct great buildings at low cost, noted civil engineering designs and structures specialist Prof R Krishnamurthy suggested to the young engineers while addressing the meeting organised in connection with the Engineers’ Day at SRKR Engineering College here on Saturday. Professor V Ramaraju presided over the meeting.

Prof Krishnamurthy said that countries like Japan have undertaken construction of smart buildings on a large scale. 

“Latest technology is available in construction of concrete structures in countries like Russia, Japan and others,” he said and added that it is high time we left behind the old traditional building models. 

College secretary and correspondent Sagi Vithal Ranga Raju said that the students should evolve into good structural and design engineers when they left the college. 

He felicitated Prof Krishnamurthy. Vice-Principal Dr KVSN Raju, Prof V Sivaramaraju and others participated.
