Chandrababu Naidu serious over Tadipatri riots, seeks report

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was serious over the law and order disturbances at Tadipatri in Anantapur district, where the TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy was directly involved. Naidu directed the district collector Veerapandiyan on Monday to submit a report on the developments in the town. 

The collector constituted a committee with joint collector, DSP, RDO and tahsildar as members which will submit its report immediately. The Chief Minister warned that he would not tolerate anyone disturbing law and order. According to news report, Diwakar Reddy was directly involved in clashes with the Prabodananda Swamy followers at Chinnapodamala at Tadipatri mandal in the district. 

The trouble broke out when the villagers carried Ganesh idol through the Prabodananda Ashramam for the immersion on Sunday, according to the sources. The Chief Minister reviewed the issue with police higher authorities and also took feedback from intelligence officials. 

He interacted with the district TDP leaders and also MP J C Diwakar Reddy in teleconference, and suggested to Diwakar Reddy to solve all problems amicably, instead of resorting to confrontation with the other side. Though the incident took place on Sunday, Diwakar Reddy continued protest even on Monday.
