TrueJet inks pact with Amaravati Boating Club
Vijayawada: Amaravati Boating Club (ABC), which is operating different types of boats, including adventure boats in Krishna river, signed an MoU with TrueJet Airways to promote tourism and enhance water sports in Krishna river. The ABC is Vijayawada-based organisation and TrueJet is Hyderabad-based airlines.
Tarun Kakani, CEO of the ABC and Sudhir Raghavan, CCO of the Truejet, signed the MoU at the Berm park on Tuesday to promote water sports. The two companies have decided to offer discounts to the customers. TrueJet customers will get discount at the ABC and in turn the ABC customers will get discount at TrueJet. Speaking to the media after the MoU, Tarun Kakani said the ABC, a private public partnership company, has tie-up with the state government and department of tourism.
He said the ABC was incorporated in January 2017 and operating 30 types of boats in Krishna river near the Bhavani Island. TrueJet is promoted by Turbo Megha Airways Private Limited with headquarters in Hyderabad. The first commercial flight was operated in July 2015 and since then it is expanding services.
The state government is inviting investors to invest in various sectors, including tourism. Sudhir Raghavan, CCO of Truejet, said the MoU would give a big boost to water sports in Krishna river, Vijayawada. He said the Truejet customers will be taken to Durga temple, Bhavani Island and other tourist places in the capital region of Amaravati.
