7 teams formed to look after sanitation in Rajamahendravaram
Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar has said that the corporation is taking necessary steps to combat Dengue and Malaria fevers in the city.
Reviewing the preventive measures taken relating to Dengue and Malaria fevers with the officials of health wing here on Wednesday, he said as many as seven teams were constituted to supervise sanitation works in the city.
He appealed to the people not to store water for days together in tubs, tyres etc which breed mosquito causing Dengue fever.
He asked the sanitation wing staff to intensify fogging in the city to avoid mosquito menace.
Awareness programmes among the people also be conducted to tell about how Dengue and Malaria fever spreads.
Corporation health officer Dr MVR Murthi and others were present.
