Turn eco-warriors, students told by Prof A Rajendra Prasad
Ongole: It is the social responsibility of every student to protect the environment, said Prof A Rajendra Prasad, the vice-chancellor of the Acharya Nagarjuna University.
He planted saplings at the PG Campus of the Acharya Nagarjuna University in Ongole along with the NSS Unit on Wednesday.
The vice-chancellor said that the trees are vital in evolving of life and they help the equilibrium in the environment.
He said that the nature protects us when the human beings protect the nature.
He said that to provide enough oxygen to the future generations, the present generation should save the biodiversity.
The NSS PO Dr M Harsha Preetham Dev Kumar, Dr G Somasekhara, Dr N Sanjeev Rao, Dr N Nirmala Mani, KVN Raju and other staff also participated in the programme.
