Naidu's Babli case adjourned to October 15

Amaravati: In a relief to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of AP and TDP President, the Dharmabad Magistrate Court in Maharashtra adjourned hearing of Babli project agitations case to October 15, informed TDP legal cell leader and MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar on Friday. 

He said that the TDP legal cell appointed an Advocate as third party in the case and asked the court about the status of much debated non bailable arrest warrant issued to Chandrababu Naidu and fifteen others. 

He said that the Chief Minister has not receive any such communication from the Court till date and hence the party took initiative and appeared before the court. 

It is known that the Dharmabad court issued non bailable arrest warrants to Chandrababu Naidu and other fifteen leaders regarding Babli project protest made by TDP in the year 2010, in Maharashtra. The TDP staged that protest to safeguard the water interests of north Telangana people.

The MP further explained that, on the other hand, three accused persons including Prakash Goud, KS Ratnam and Gangula Kamalakar from Telangana State appeared in the court in the same case. They paid Rs 5,000 as fine and lodged recall petition, Ravindra informed. 

The three leaders, who appeared in the court are now in TRS. TRS gave tickets to Prakash Goud and Ratnam, in this General Elections of Telangana Assembly and Ratnam is also an aspirant. Hence, they appeared in the court in order to avoid legal problems during elections.
