Artificial Intelligence to create more jobs in future: Foxconn MD

Tirupati: TECHFESIA, a two-day gathering of creative minds was inaugurated by Country Head and MD, Foxconn International Josh Foulger, and founder & MD of Sri City Ravindra Sannareddy in the presence of IIIT Director Prof G Kannabiran and the senior faculty at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Sri City on Friday.

Delivering the welcome address Prof Kannabiran, said that the two-day event, packed with competitions in some of the promising fields of technology, would showcase the epitome of the future of technology, ranging from artificial intelligence and cryptography to healthcare and robotics.

Appreciating the organisers for selecting the latest areas in information technology for deliberating in the tech fest. Josh Foulger presented the latest trends in the information technology and mentioned, “Further, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is going to disrupt the present-day technology, offering incredible opportunities.” 

Addressing the gathering, Ravindra Sannareddy said that IIIT at Sri City was very unique in many aspects, particularly its location, as it is situated among the world-famous manufacturing industries. Describing the saga of Sri City, he mentioned how the entire region, which was very backword till recently, got transformed into a bustling economic zone.

Over seventy delegates, representing some of the renowned technical institutions like, IITs, IIITs and private universities have been participating. During these two days, they take part and discuss on important areas like topbot, medtech hackathon, racing car event, hack the code, quadrotor, etc., Dr Shivram Dubey, Dr Rajendra Prasath and Dr Raja VaraPrasad were the coordinators of the event.
