NSS Day celebrated at KLM Engineering College

Kadapa: NSS Day was celebrated at KLM College of Engineering for Women, here on Monday. As part of celebrations, the volunteers of NSS planted trees and cleaned college premises. Tree plantation programme was inaugurated by the College principal Dr S Khajapeer.  

Speaking on the occasion, he said that everyone should take up tree plantation as it preserves environment. In this context, he advised girl students to have social awareness and engage themselves in social activities.

NSS is one such platform from which students can get an opportunity to serve one’s society, he said. NSS volunteers of the college participated in the programme enthusiastically.

Prizes were given to students who won the competitions conducted on the occasion. Among those participated in the programme include Programme Officer of NSS VR John Devanand and PD Soni, heads of departments and students of the college.
