Protect ashram from MP JC Divakar Reddy, pleads Prabhodananda Swamy disciples in Rajamahendravaram
Rajamahendravaram: The disciples of Prabhodananda Swamy of Ananthapur district demanded that the government give protection to their ashram in Chinnapodamala village of Tadipatri mandal from Ananthapur MP JC Divakar Reddy and from his brother.
The duo have been creating panic in the ashram with the support of police.
Speaking to reporters at Press Club here on Monday, B Santha Raju, KS Rao, AA Kumar, B Satyavathi, KS Rani, PSN Murthi, KL Narayana and B Jagan alleged that the henchmen of Divakar Reddy, were going to the houses of Swamy’s disciples and damaging the iodls of Krishna and the books of Prabhodananda Swamy, and threatening them to go to their native places.
On September 15, Divakar Reddy’s men intentionally took out Ganesh procession via Prabhodanand ashram and attacked the disciples along with villagers for no reason. With this, the persons in the ashram attacked the men of Divakar Reddy to protect themselves, they said.
Prabhodanda Swamy is a well known god man and thousands of people listen to his discourses on Bhagvad Gita on every blue moon day across the world.
Everyday many poojas are performed along with religious discourses in the ashram, they added.
