Speaker participates in Roti festival

Nellore: AP Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao visited Nellore on Monday in connection with ongoing Roti festival. He visited Dargah and exchanged roti in Swarnala Cheruvu premises along with Municipal Minister P Narayana, Mayor Abdul Aziz and others. 

Kodela said he had exchanged roti wishing more progress and welfare of people in the state. He further said it was unfortunate to kill Araku TDP MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and former MLA Siveri Soma by Maoists in Dumbriguda mandal in agency area of Visakhapatnam district on Sunday.

Killing is not the solution for resolving issues, he stated. Sarveswara Rao, who was active in tribal issues has been brutally murdered which made him shocked. He said one can achieve nothing with violence and appealed to change their attitude where innocents were facing difficulties. 

He said everyone has to understand that violence is not solution for the problems. District Collector R Mutyala Raju and others met the Speaker formally. Speaker interacted with the Minister P Narayana, Mayor Abdul Aziz, former legislator MSK Reddy, and others at Pinakini guest house. Further, Speaker visited housing project located in Janardhan Reddy Colony along with Minister Narayana and other leaders.
