Students urged to hone skills to avail jobs in tourism sector
Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority Director Dr V Sambasiva Raju called upon the students to avail the employment opportunities in the tourism sector.
He said those having skills would get jobs. Addressing a meeting organised under the aegis of ANU Hospitality and Management department at the ANU campus here on Monday, he said the government would link tourism industry with tourism courses for the convenience of students to get employment opportunities.
Stating that the government was imparting training to 10,000 youth in the tourism sector to get employment, he appealed to students to hone their skills to get jobs. ANU Vice-Chancellor Prof A Rajendra Prasad urged the students do hard work to achieve their set goals.
ANU College Principal K Chandrakumar said that selecting travel and tourism course would be useful to get placements at international level. Earlier, ANU Vice-Chancellor Prof A.Rajenra felicitated Dr Sambasiva Raju. ANU Journalism and Mass Communication department assistant Prof J Madhu Babu were among those present.
