Think innovatively, Minister to students
Visakhapatnam: HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao called upon the students to think innovatively to come up in their career. Participating as a chief guest at the valedictory of the AP PolyTech Fest-2018 held at Andhra University convention centre here on Monday, the minister said that the government was giving top priority to unlock the hidden talent among students and arranging number of programmes for the same.
Addressing the students, he said that the faculty should help to tap hidden talent among the students. The faculty must identify the talent among students and guide them for their development, the minister said. Technical Education Commissioner G S Panda Das said that over 2,770 projects have been submitted by the students during the AP PolyTech Fest-2018.
Among the 2,770 projects, the screening committee has selected 309 projects for further refining process, he said and congratulated those students who exhibited their talent on various societal issues.
The first prize in the fest was awarded to G P W College Nellore, second prize won by the PAGE Institute of Science and Technology, Ongole and third prize awarded to Sankethika Polytechnic College, Visakhapatnam.
The organisers also presented four consolation prizes to four projects. The minister presented merit certificates to all the participants. Thousands of students from across the state were present.
