CPR training imparted to Dravidian varsity students

Tirupati: SVIMS Community CPR training programme is gaining rapid attention in the public and in universities as more number of people are showing interest in learning CPR. They conducted another such programme at Dravidian University, Kuppam on Tuesday on their invitation.

SVIMS, starting with police personnel, have trained more than 18,000 people so far from different institutions, offices and industries in and around Tirupati so far. Under the leadership of SVIMS Director Dr TS Ravikumar, Department of Anaesthesiology, HoD, Dr Alok Samanthray and the Principal of College of Physiotherapy Dr Madhavi have coordinated the training programme.

After a brief Power Point presentation on CPR, CPR trainers conducted hands-on training to 450 students, staff and faculty of Dravidian University. Senior Resident, Department of Anaesthesiology, Dr ISD Prasad, lecturer at College of Physiotherapy Dr Senthil Kumar and other students and staff imparted training. University Rector Prof G Balasubramanyan, Dr M C Kesavamurthy and Dr S Rajeswar Reddy of Dravidian University were present during the programme.
