Gandikota Reservoir began receiving inflows
Kadapa: After releasing the water from Owk Reservoir of Kurnool district by the chief minister N.chandra Babu Naidu on 23rd September, Gandikota Reservoir began receiving heavy inflows of Krishna water from Wednesday
According to the irrigation officials right now there are 4.5tmcft of water is available in the reservoir as about 8,600 cusecs of water being discharged from Owk which Gandikota Reservoir would have witnessed more than 8tmcft of water in coming four days.
Following reaching heavy inflows official machinery is gearing up efforts for releasing water to Pydipalem and Chithravathi Balancing reservoirs in the interest of supplying water for Pulivendula constituency in coming Rabi season.
Gandikota Reservoir which is internal party of Galeru Nagari Sujala Sravanthi (GNSS) was designed with the aim of providing water to about 2lakh acres ayacut in Pulivendula constituency.
