2 arrested for theft, gold ornaments recovered in kandukur
Kandukur: The Kandukur police arrested two persons on Wednesday, for involving in thefts and chain snatching in various incidents in the sub division.
They recovered gold jewelry worth Rs 4.5 lakh from them. The Kandukur DSP K Prakasa Rao said that P Nagaraju of Budvel and N Yesudas of Pamur were friends and collect loose hair for a price from women.
They identify victims in the daytime and snatch their chains and involve in thefts in the houses during the night.
He said that the duo involved in similar crimes in Pamur, Lingasamudram, PC Palli and Kandukur since May this year.
They were arrested by the Pamur SI Sobhan Babu, The accused confessed that they committed the crimes and revealed that they sold the jewelry to a merchant in Budvel.
He said that the police recovered one necklace, five chains and other gold ornaments from the merchant and submitted the accused before the court.
