Ongole: The Prakasam district unit of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad organised a rally in Ongole town and protested in front of the district Collectorate on Wednesday, demanding that the state government take up recruitments and increase mess charges for the students in the welfare hostels.

The district organizing secretary, Tellapandla Hanumanthu said that the TDP promised to conduct recruitments immediately after coming into power but not filled any job vacancies even after four years of forming government in state.

He also alleged that the chief minister was trying to cheat the unemployed youth in the name of dole just before elections.

He said that the government was trying to disown the education sector and not providing infrastructure in the schools and colleges.

He demanded that the government take action against the managements of corporate colleges for instigating the students to commit suicides.

He asked the government to establish general university in the Prakasam district and fund it enough to work efficiently.
