PACE students win prize at Polyfest 2018

Ongole: The polytechnic students from the PACE Institute of Technology and Sciences won the second prize in the Polyfest 2018 held in Visakhapatnam and the others received accolades for their projects, announced the PACE Polytechnic College principal Malaga Anil Kumar at a programme held in the college on Thursday.

He said that the professors from various universities filtered 2,770 projects by the polytechnic students and allowed only 321 projects from all over the state to participate in the Polyfest held in Visakahapatnam on September 24 and 25. In those 321 projects, 10 projects were made by the students from PACE Polytechnic College, announced the principal.

The college secretary and correspondent, Maddisetty Sridhar said that the Railway Bridge Security System, designed by the PACE students won the second prize and they received it from Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao in the prize distribution ceremony. The students received Rs 25,000 as cash prize, mementoes and certificates for winning the prize and asked to develop the project at the incubation center.
