RMC demolition drive to widen roads begins in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation (RMC) is demolishing the encroachments in the main road to widen it as well as to construct drain which was not there for many years. The corporation took up demolition programme of encroachments as many people were asking to widen it due to increased traffic on the main road, which has become congested now.

Meanwhile, many shop owners constructed steps on the road and continuing it for many years posing problem to pedestrians as well as vehicle riders. The RMC is also planning to widen some important roads in the city to cater to the needs of future generations and also to ease traffic movement. It was estimated that two lakh people across the state are coming to the city on various works.

Many people are asking the corporation to widen Gunduvari Veedhi, Pappula Veedhi, Khadi Kotla Veedhi, Gantalamma Temple street, Vankayalavari veedhietc in the city for easy movement of traffic.
