Water supply through gravity from Polavaram by June 2019: Gorantla

Rajamahendravaram: Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary said that water will be supplied through gravity from Polavaram Project by June 2019 and the government is putting its endeavour in this regard.

The MLA along with MP Maganti Murali Mohan, corporators and media visited Polavaram Project on Thursday. Polavaram Project Deputy Executive Engineer K V Rao and junior engineer Rameswar Narayan briefed about the project to them.

Later, speaking to reporters at Polavaram, the MLA said majority works were completed with quality. But, the Central government is not co-operating fully with the State government to complete the project.

But, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been constantly striving to complete the project as per schedule as it is the lifeline of the State and moreover conducting review on the progress of the project works every week.

YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan were making baseless allegations to create problems for Polavaram Project. The people are well aware of things and they are ready to teach a lesson to the parties who are hampering the development of the State, he said.

MP Maganti Murali Mohan said that there was no corruption in Polavaram Project works and challenged the Opposition to expose any corruption in the execution of works.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was very particular to complete the project as per schedule and dedicate it to the nation, he said. Rajamahendravaram Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai, Deputy Mayor Vasireddy Rambabu, corporators and others participated in the programme.
