Yuvanestham registration launched

 Nellore: Municipal Minister P Narayana said the state government has planned to provide employment dole to 12.5 lakh youth in the state. So far, 4.50 lakh youth have registered their names for the support, he stated. 

The Minister formally launched registration for educated but unemployed at Gandhi Statue in the city on Thursday. He said eligible candidates will get Rs 1,000 from the government as support. He said they had started door-to-door campaign on the programme for better understanding among the youngsters.

Narayana said the activity is being conducted in all Assembly constituencies across the state and they had placed vehicles in all divisions for registration with computer and internet facility. He appealed to the unemployed youth to utilise the opportunity. 

Further, the Minister reviewed with officials on arrangements for popular Poleramma Jatara in Venkatagiri that starts from September 30 and large number of devotees are expected to attend the festival on October 3 and 4. 

The village fest is being organised since 1714 and he asked the officials to conduct the event similar to Roti festival which was successful without any untoward incident. The Minister asked the officials to maintain good sanitation and safety measures during the Jatara.

He said municipal contract workers had called off their protest and there is a possibility of good sanitation measures.  Venkatagiri legislator K Ramakrishna, municipal chairperson D Sarada, municipal commissioner and others were present.
