After hiccups, Chandranna Pelli Kanuka scheme back on track
Visakhapatnam: Now, the District Rural Development Authority (DRDA) officials depositing cash in the accounts of brides under ‘Chandranna Pelli Kanuka’ scheme after technical snag was rectified recently. It may be recalled that the government launched the scheme on April 21 this year.
Initially, payments have been credited in the accounts of the brides but due to a technical snag, payments have been delayed. However, during the past one month, officials rectified the technical snag and now depositing the cash in the brides accounts without any delay.
The cash incentive is being paid in two instalments. After registration, Kalyana Mitra will complete the field verification and confirm the application.
Later, the first instalment of 20 per cent of the total payment will be deposited in the brides bank account.
Later, at the time of marriage, Kalyana Mitra and other officials will attend the marriage and take the picture and after uploading the image, along with the marriage certificate, remaining 80 per cent will be credited in the bride’s account.
