Tadepalligudem: Former minister and BJP MLA Pydikondala Manikyala Rao asked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to fulfil 56 promises he made to his constituency people before organising Dharma Porata Deeksha against BJP-led Central government.

Attacking CM here on Friday, his bête noire and former Cabinet colleague Pydikondala claimed that the Centre had fulfilled 95 per cent of the promises made to AP.
When only five per cent of the promises need to be addressed by the Centre, there was no point in CM holding a Deeksha.

It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will organise Dharma Porata Deeksha highlighting ‘betrayal’ by the BJP government at the Centre in according Special Category Status to AP apart from other benefits promised under bifurcation act on Saturday.

“When you prefer Deeksha on five per cent of promises, what kind of agitations should people of this Assembly constituency launch to force you to complete 56 promises made in 2015?

Why did you fail to sanction medical college to Tadepalligudem when you opted this town to launch attack on Central government?” he questioned.

The former endowments minister suggested Naidu to answer to people of the town on why the latter had not addressed his promises before holding Deeksha, if he had any commitment.

“One of your leaders challenged us to prevent from holding Deeksha. The town has the history of chasing away a person like Channa Reddy. It will not be problem for us to confront you,” he thundered.

“If your leaders think they can instigate us, we are prepared to use baton to shoo you away,” Pydikondala warned.
