Gurram Jashuva remembered on his Birth Anniversary at Rajamahendravaram
Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) vice-chancellor Prof Murru Mutyala Naidu has said that literature which is simple and within the reach of the people is the real literature.
Paying tributes to the great writer Gurram Jashuva in connection with his 123rd birth anniversary held in the campus here on Friday, he said Jashuva was a great and popular writer and all his writings were received by the people well.
He questioned about caste, creed and color in his writings.
He touched every problem in society through his writings. Jashuva also said the people spend huge sum to perform kalyanams, poojas etc to idols, but not come forward to provide food or any other help to the people starving.
Poets and writers should get inspiration from the literature of Jashuva, he said.
Professors K Sri Ramesh, K Subba Rao, V Persis, T Hymavathi and others were present.
