Set up Viswabrahmin Corporation

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Viswabrahmin community president Bangaru Venkateswarulu demanded that the state government establish Viswabrahmin Corporation and fulfil their other demands.

Addressing the gathering of 13 districts’ representatives at TDP urban vice-president's office here on Friday,  Venkateswarulu said there were about 40 lakh Viswabrahmins in the state and 90 per cent of them were living below poverty line and a few of them were very poor. He recalled that they appealed to the government to fulfil their demands and do justice to poor community people, however till date nothing was done to benefit them. 

He demanded the government to establish Viswabrahmin Corporation to benefit the poor and sought the government to allocate two Assembly seats besides a nominated post.

He demanded the government to strengthen GO 272 to help gold smiths and establish Shilpashala at all districts besides establishing Veda Pathasala, sanction pension of Rs 3,000 to the community people who crossed 50 years age. The meeting was attended by BC chairman D Rama Rao, vice-president G Srinivas Chakravarthi and secretary S Siddharth.
