2 injured in road mishap in Tirupati

Tirupati: Two persons sustained injuries in a road accident near Yerpedu on Srikalahasti-Tirupati highway on Saturday. 

The injured have been identified as Bhupendra Dewasi, Vice-President, Animal Husbandry Board, Rajasthan state and his driver Asuram Dewasi. 

Both the injured were rescued by the Yerpedu police and shifted them to a private hospital near Tirupati. 

According to hospital doctors, the condition of the injured was stable. 
The accident occurred when the car was heading to Srikalahasti and the driver lost control on wheel and rammed a road safety barricades and later collided with a lorry coming in the opposite direction. 

With the accident, traffic on the road came to a halt for more than a km and the police had tough time to restore the traffic. 

Yerpedu police registered a case.
