Chandrababu Naidu directs officials to bring out a new policy

Amaravati: Reiterating his commitment to make Andhra Pradesh the most energy efficient State in the world in the next four years, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the Energy department to work on bringing out a new policy on energy efficiency and submit an action plan 

He said the adoption of energy efficient measures will enable the State to save around 15,000 Million Units of power. During a teleconference with officials here on Sunday, the Chief Minister also advised all the government departments to appoint nodal officers for rigorous implementation of energy conservation measures in their respective departments.

He announced that the State government was preparing ground to become one of the most energy efficient States in the world by completing the installation of around 30 lakh LED street lights by the end of December-2018. The CM has appealed to every citizen in the State to participate actively in the energy conservation movement.
