Amaravati: Making a strong pitch for welfare, development and growth of Telugu Non-Resident Indian community, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, the TDP president and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu founded three organisations and suggested five programmes for them. He also aimed at strengthening the party where there is presence of NRIs from Telugu-speaking states.

The AP government has already established Non-Resident Telugu organisation (NRT) and G10 and Chandrababu Naidu is contemplating to establish TDP-NRI cell in the party.

The NRT organisation will strive for welfare of AP NRIs. It has been working for empowerment of them and rendering various services. Whenever the NRIs are in trouble abroad, they could directly contact the organisation for help.

The G10 organisation is working for encouraging entrepreneurship among NRIs. This organisation is conducting a survey on best entrepreneurship opportunities across the world. It will present the findings to NRIs to promote best practices in the state. “G10 aims at consciously developing entrepreneurs among NRIs,” said Chandrababu Naidu.

It will zero in on the best technologies across the world, analyse them and suggest which would be fit for adoption in the State, he added. Both NRT and G10 will work together with the AP Economic Development Board and AP Skill Development Board.  Their collaborative efforts will help in establishing a strong industrial network in the state, he felt.

TDP NRI cell is being established for converting the NRIs as TDP vote bank. Naidu said that the NRIs would get voting rights in the ensuing general elections. The cell will work across the globe, wherever Telugus live, said Chandrababu Naidu. He hoped that there would be Telugu people in every country in a short span of time.

He said that the Telugu people possess highly “adoptable ability” to fare well in all circumstances.  Naidu further explained that he mooted five programmes to be taken by the NRIs during his interaction with them in New York in his recent visit.

They should construct Lord Balaji Temples at all major cities across the globe. Encouraging Kuchipudi is another suggestion to the NRIs, as it has a great cultural market. Naidu said that, “practising Kuchipudi helps in body fitness, spirituality, mental fitness, promotes our tradition and many other benefits are associated with this art.”

Since the Telugus are strong in use of Information Technology, they must embark on adoption of next gen technologies in IT sector. They should put to best use Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain Technology and others, he felt.

At the same time, Chandrababu Naidu urged the NRIs to promote the AP government initiative of Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) across the globe. This is a biggest boon to the globe, given by Andhra Pradesh, he observed. He desired that all Telugu NRIs emerge as entrepreneurs across the globe. He urged them to utilise their opportunities within the state and abroad for their development.
