Free lunch to pregnant women at NTR hospital

Visakhapatnam: Rendering service to the poor and needy as per the divine ideology of Sri Sathya Sai Baba is the hallmark of the Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, said RJ Rathnakar, trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Prasanthinilayam. 

Rathnakar  inaugurated the exclusive Nithya Anna (free lunch) Prasada Seva Kendram for pregnant women at NTR District Hospital in Anakapalle on Sunday Addressing a gathering of devotees and people at Rao Gopala Rao Kala Kshetram, Rathnakar said that the new Anna Prasada Kendram is the 16th one in the state out of which 15 other such centres serve free lunch to the attendants of the inpatients in government hospitals in the state. He said that service activities are being conducted on a large scale across Sri Sathya Sai Centres in many countries. 

“It is heartening to note that a large number of new persons, particularly the youth who did not even see Sathya Saibaba, are now voluntarily coming to render service, which stands testimony to the selfless, passionate service attitude of the organistaion," Rathnakar said.

He thanked P Govinda Sathyanarayana MLA of  Anakapalle for his untiring efforts in getting the sanction and approval for the construction of this new building from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the noble purpose. 

P Govinda Sathyanarayana and former minister Dadi Veerabhadra Rao lauded noble services of Sathya Sai Seva Organisation for the betterment of the poor and needy. 

Hima Rathnakar inaugurated the dining room and presented Sai protein food to the pregnant women in the hospital. Later, the couple served the lunch to the pregnant women. Free fresh lunch cooked on the hospital premises will be offered daily to 300 pregnant women who come to NTR District Hospital.
