Kodela Sivaprasada Rao inaugurates fire station at Sattenapalli

Guntur: Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao said that fire services personnel will play a key role in saving lives and property during fire accidents. He inaugurated a fire station in Sattenapalli, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 2 crore, on Sunday. 

Speaking on the occasion, he suggested to impart training to unemployment youth how to save lives and property in fire accidents, the department may use their services in case of need. He felt that there is a need to use robos to control flames. 

Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa said that if they follow simple techniques, they can check fire accidents and added that ITC given 50 per cent cost of construction under the Corporate Social Responsibility for the  construction of fire station building.  

He suggested to use modern technology in the department to check fire accidents and added that multi-storeyed buildings will come up in Amaravati in the days to come, there is a need to use modern technology to control flames in the multi-storeyed buildings. Director General Fire Services department K Satyanarayana was also present.
