No drinking water crisis in Nellore
Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that enough drinking water was available in the district due to efforts made by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Conducting a review meet with officials at Mandal Parishad Office of TP Gudur here on Sunday, Somireddy said that even though the areas have been facing continuous drought conditions for last two years, due to concrete steps taken by Naidu, there was no water crisis in the district.
He also said only because of exemplary progress they were able to stand before the people with pride and asked the revenue officials to focus on biometric issues at PDS centres and suggested them to issue pattadar passbooks and adangals to farmers on time.
He directed the officials to check any difficulties for drinking water supply in rural areas and take measures to resolve them immediately. After bifurcation of the state, the minister said AP has been witnessing tremendous growth for last four years and added every village has been equipped with basic infrastructure by spending crores of rupees.
The minister also reviewed with the officials over the sanction of funds, plans of works, works grounded and status of progress in all important departments.
