Andhra Bank staff participate in Swachhata Hi Seva
Ongole: To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Tuesday, the Andhra Bank employees participated in the clean and green programme in the municipal high school at the Nellore Bus Stand area in the Ongole town on Monday morning.
The Andhra Bank zonal manager, P Ramakrishna said that the cleaning programme was held as per the instructions of the head office to participate in the Swachhata Hi Seva programme in all branches over the country. Following the directions of the office, the staff cleaned the classrooms, playground and other areas of the school compound from 7 am.
He said that the staff and managers from all branches in the Ongole town, around 100 in number, participated in the clean and green programme. The AGM of the zonal office, P Krishnaiah said that they were taking up the cleanliness drive every year on behalf of the Andhra Bank.
The Ongole currency chest manager, PK Rajeswara Rao said that the Andhra Bank also called its employees for the participation in Swachhata Hi Seva, as part of the Central government’s call. He said that the Andhra Bank staff from Prakasam and Nellore districts participated in the programme on Monday under the direction of the zonal manager P Ramakrishna, as they do regularly in the service programmes of the bank.
The other AGMs of the zonal office, P Simhachalam, Raghukumar, Chief Manager Jayakumar, HR Senior Manager AVR Sastry, Branch Managers K Janardhan, Ch Sampath Kumar, Sharoj, Vineela, Andhra Bank officers federation leaders B Srinivasa Reddy, R Rajarao, AIBEA leaders K Rajeev Ratan Dev, Rajesh Khanna, SC/ST Welfare Association leaders P Rangaswamy, K Yebu and other staff also participated in the programme.
