Pawan Kalyan lambasts Naidu on relief to Polavaram evacuees
Kukkunuru: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, trained his guns at Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu when he wondered how the latter ignore Polavaram evacuees while reviewing the project progress on daily basis. Polavaram evacuees from merged mandals and tribals elaborated their tale of woes when Pawan visited the area on Monday.
Addressing the gathering, he said that evacuees had sacrificed their home, profession and nativity to serve the nation. People of the state should be indebted to the evacuees for this reason. However, the CM seems to be ignored them and had least concern for them. The CM who reviews contract rates every year was surprisingly not thinking about evacuees. “Is the CM, who reviews Polavaram project progress everyday from his office, aware of the problems being faced by the evacuees,” he questioned.
Not an iota of concern the CM had for evacuees when compared with contractors, the cine hero thundered.
The affected should be given compensation as per the land acquisition act, 2013. Naidu’s love for evacuees can be gauged by the fact that not more than four per cent rehabilitation was complete so far. “Mr CM are you aware of this fact? You are not providing even education and medical facility for them, leave alone other things,” the Power Star added.
