Rallies banned in Guntur urban district from October 2 to November 2: SP Ch Vijaya Rao

Guntur: Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao imposed Section-30 of the IPC in Guntur Urban Police district limits from October 2 to November 2, 2018 and issued orders to this effect.

He banned conducting of rallies, processions, public meetings, protests during this period and warned that the police will book the cases and take stern action against those who violate the Section 30 of IPC. He said that they will not allow of conducting of protests and dharnas on the National Highway during the period.

He instructed the police officials to take steps to implement the Section -30 of IPC strictly and book cases if anybody violate the Act. He said that he will set up police pickets at important places and special teams will also work and urged the people, political parties, associations not to violate the Section -30.
