TDP MLA seeks CBI probe into oil theft

Amalapuram: TDP MLA Aytabattula Anand Rao has demanded for a CBI probe into the oil scam relating to ONGC pipelines in Konaseema area as many oil thefts are taking place along ONGC pipelines in the area. 

Speaking to reporters at his house here on Monday, he underlined the need to book the culprits whoever it may be. It is the duty of ONGC to put an end to oil thefts taking place in the area, he said. 

He said the oil thefts were mainly reported in Odalarevu, the ONGC headquarters in Allavaram mandal. The culprits are pilfering the oil by making holes to crude-oil pipelines in Odalarevu village. He hoped the ONGC would take necessary steps to arrest the oil pilfering menace.
