Central Information Commissioner smells a rat in MP lads
Guntur: Central Information Commissioner Dr M Sridharacharyulu (Madabhushi Sridhar) said that an amount of Rs. 35,000 crores is being spent across the country under MP LADS and added that this scheme has no accounts, no audit , no system and no transparency.
He was addressing Group- I and Group-II officers at AP Human Resource Development Institute at Bapatla in Guntur district on Wednesday. He said that government officers are liable for both civil and criminal proceedings, if there is any negligence on their part in discharging public duties.
They have to pay compensation to people, if they are not vigilant and sincere. He said that they have to extend services to public within stipulated time as per citizen charter etc.
Director General of APHRDI D Chakrapani presided over the meeting. Noted Human Rights activist Prof G Haragopal,Centre for Sustainable Development Goals In-charge Dr ISN Raju, Forum for Better Bapatla Secretary P C Sai Babu and others were present.
