Emulate Mahatma for peaceful life, says AKNU V-C Prof Murru Mutyala Naidu
Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) vice-chancellor Prof Murru Mutyala Naidu has said that the nation never forget the services of Mahatma Gandhi who succeeded in getting independence to India and also sacrificed his life for the people.
Paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi in connection with his 150 birth anniversary in the campus here on Tuesday, he said everyone in society should emulate the great leader.
Gandhi ideology is the only remedy to lead a peaceful life and also to create healthy society.
He advised the students to practice the principles of Mahatma Gandhi which is the need of the hour.
Every student should know about the great leader to know how to lead a disciplined life and march ahead at the time of need.
“Now we are enjoying the fruits of independence which obtained from the sacrifices of many in the country and it is our duty to retain it,” he added.
Participating in the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in his office, MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana said everyone should put their efforts to retain independence which materialised because of sacrifices of many great people.
Mathatma Gandhi practiced non-violence and proved that anything can be solved with non-violence, he added.
