TDP, YSRCP hand in glove with BJP: Congress

Srikakulam: Both TDP and YSRCP are playing a double game and are pally with BJP at Centre for their own political ends by leaving state development to the wind, lamented AP Congress Committee (APCC) president N Raghuveera Reddy. 

Launching the ‘Intintiki Congress’ programme in Polaki mandal on Tuesday, he criticised that TDP and YSRCP were least bothered about state development and failed to secure any assurances from by the Centre during the state division. Congress party alone could help the people of AP and strive for their development. People were also slowly realising this truth and banking on the commitment of Congress, he noted.

Raguveera Reddy distributed Congress party pamphlets to people as part of the programme. Later, he addressed a public meeting at Tekkali. He reiterated Congress party promise to provide the Special Category Status to AP soon after winning power in 2019 elections. He reminded people of Rahul Gandhi’s unwavering stand on the issue. 

Former central minister K Kruparani, district Congress president D Jagan Mohan Rao, party leaders Ch Sateesh, K Rammohan Rao, B Ramu, R Narasimha Murthy and others accompanied him. Reddy in the morning participated in the Gandhi Jayanthi programme at Srikakulam and also visited Sun God temple.
