Yuva Nestham will extend helping hand to unemployed: Kona Sasidhar
Guntur: Collector Kona Sasidhar said the government introduced Yuva Nestham scheme to extend helping hand to unemployed youth. Addressing a meeting held at Sri Venkateswara Vignan Mandiram in Guntur city on Tuesday on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi and distribution of letters to unemployed youth under the Yuva Nestham scheme, he said the district administration sanctioned unemployment allowance to 14,532 youth and urged the eligible to enrol their names to get allowance under the scheme.
He said the government is ready to impart skill development training to unemployed youth to get better jobs. He urged the youth to follow the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi and that would be a real tribute to him.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar reminded that Mahatma Gandhi used non-violence as a weapon to end British rule in the country. He called upon the youth to play a keyrole in the development of nation and appealed to students to improve their skills according to needs of industry to get better placements.
Later, Kona Sasidhar distributed allowance sanctioning letters to 1,521 unemployed youth under Yuva Nestham scheme. Nominated MLA Philip C Tocher, Minorities Finance Corporation Chairman Md Hidayat and officials of various government departments were present.
